Start with a slice of key lime pie, then follow your guide down Greene Street past Captain Tony's Saloon, one of the oldest bars on the island, and hear tales of pirates, wreckers, rumrunners and the regulars who never left. Stroll past the Audubon House and its tropical gardens and the Oldest House on Duval Street, known for footsteps no one can explain. Halfway through, stop at Mattheessen's Candy Kitchen for handmade sweets. Continue down Simonton Street past a historic funeral home, Casa Antigua, tied to one of Key West's most famous writers, and the Curry Mansion, built by the family of Florida's first millionaire.
